Keystone Dive Products Inc.™  was founded with a simple but urgent need: to stop losing lobster and lionfish after catching them. Our founder — a lifelong diver — got tired of makeshift bags and zippered mesh gear that just didn’t hold up underwater. Too many catches were lost due to faulty closures, tangled drawstrings, or weak seams.

So, we developed something better: the Original Lobster Inn™ — the first catch bag of its kind to use a one-way insert flap. This patented design allows divers to slide catch into the bag quickly and securely, while the flap prevents escape. No clips. No second chances for your catch to get away. The bottom zipper allows for the easy extraction of your catch.

That single innovation led to what Keystone Dive Products™ is today: a Florida-based manufacturer of high-performance catch bags trusted by divers worldwide.

The Invention of the Original Lobster Inn™

The “Lobster Inn™” is our flagship product — and the name says it all:

“Guests check in, but don’t check out.”

It’s more than a slogan. It reflects our product’s purpose: to securely contain your catch without fuss or fear. Using a flexible and secure one-way insert flap, the Original Lobster Inn™ lets divers push lobster, scallops, or fish into the bag with one hand, knowing they’ll stay put until it’s time to unload.

The design was inspired by a need for efficiency and safety underwater. Divers have limited visibility, mobility, and time — especially in active waters. The easier it is to secure your catch, the more effective (and enjoyable) the dive.

Florida Roots, Nationwide Reach

Based in Palm City, Florida, we are surrounded by some of the most active diving waters in the U.S. Our products are tested in Florida’s Atlantic and Gulf waters, including the Florida Keys, where lobster season drives thousands of divers underwater every year.

While we began in Florida, our gear is now used by divers across the country — from the Carolinas to California. We also sell our products internationally. With free nationwide shipping and 24/7 online ordering, our reach goes far beyond the coast we call home.

Our gear is also designed to match regional dive seasons:

• Florida Season: Florida season opens with mini-season in the end of July with main season starting August 6th through March 31st for lobster.
